Overview

Why this is Cultural journey

"Some places change the way you see everything. Tiger's Nest doesn't just show you a monastery โ€” it quietly rewires what you think is possible."

๐Ÿ”๏ธ
Tiger's Nest Hike
The most iconic sight in Bhutan โ€” a 7th-century monastery perched at 3,120m on a sheer cliff. 4-hour round hike through prayer flags and pine forest.
๐Ÿฏ
Ancient Dzongs
Punakha Dzong at the confluence of two rivers, Paro Rinpung Dzong, and Tashichho Dzong in Thimphu โ€” 400-year-old fortresses still in active daily use.
๐Ÿก
Farmhouse Dinner
Dine with a Bhutanese family in their home. Red rice, ema datshi, and a conversation that stays with you long after you land home.
๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ
Butter Lamp Ceremony
Hundreds of yak-butter lamps lit at dusk in a monastery courtyard. One of the most quietly moving experiences in all of South Asia.
โ˜ฎ๏ธ
Dochula Pass
108 chortens at 3,100m, ringed by Himalayan peaks over 7,000m on a clear day. Dawn here, before the clouds roll in, is something else entirely.
๐ŸŒพ
Punakha Valley
A gentle walk through rice terraces and suspension bridges in Bhutan's warmest valley. Ripe paddy in autumn. Jacaranda in spring.

Questions

Before you ask Santosh

About 4 hours of walking with a 400m elevation gain. The trail is well-maintained. Anyone in reasonable health can do it. Mules are available for the lower portion if needed.
Absolutely. This is a starting point. Want to spend an extra morning at a monastery? Skip something? Add a cooking class? Just tell Santosh โ€” we adjust at no extra charge.
This is our most recommended package for first-timers. It covers the cultural spine of Bhutan โ€” Thimphu, Punakha, and Paro โ€” in a well-paced 7 days with a good balance of activity and contemplation.
