Overview

Why this is Bhutan journey

"Your teenager โ€” the one who hasn't looked up from their phone in six months โ€” will spend an afternoon helping monks make butter sculptures and forget, completely, to check Instagram."

๐Ÿน
Archery with a Champion
Bhutan's national sport, taught by a Bhutanese archer. Your children learn to shoot with a traditional bamboo bow. The focus on their faces when the arrow flies is worth the whole trip.
๐Ÿ‚
Yak Farm Visit
Get close to yaks โ€” Bhutan's most important animal. Your children can feed them, touch their thick coats, and understand why these animals are central to Bhutanese life in the high valleys.
๐Ÿงˆ
Butter Sculpture Workshop
Monks teach your family to make traditional butter sculptures โ€” an ancient Bhutanese art form. Your children help monks make the offerings that sit on monastery altars.
๐Ÿก
Haa Valley Farmstay
Two nights in the Haa Valley โ€” one of Bhutan's most pristine and least-visited regions. Your family stays with a local household, helps cook dinner, and falls asleep to silence so complete it feels like a gift.
๐Ÿฅพ
Tiger's Nest (Child-Paced)
We hike Tiger's Nest at whatever pace your family needs. Mules available for younger children on the lower section. The achievement of reaching the monastery is real for every age.
๐ŸŽฏ
Cooking Class
Your family learns to make ema datshi (Bhutan's national dish โ€” chilli and cheese) with a local cook. Spicy but memorable. Your children will talk about this at dinner tables for years.

Questions

Before you ask Santosh

We have guided children as young as 6 to Tiger's Nest. The hike is 4 hours return with mule support available on the lower section. We pace it entirely around your family. If a child cannot continue, we can arrange a picnic stop at the viewpoint while parents continue.
Yes โ€” and they pay no SDF at all, which makes a family trip to Bhutan very good value. We adjust all activities for toddlers and carry a baby carrier for the easier walks.
Very much so โ€” it was designed for family travelers. The host family has children of their own. The farmhouse is warm, clean, and in a safe environment. Children universally love it.
