Adventure Trek

The Druk Path Trek passes through blue pine forests, alpine lakes full of giant trout, and views of Himalayan peaks most travellers never see. No crowds. No noise.

🗓 10 Days · 9 Nights 💰 From $2,100 / person 📍 Paro · Druk Path · Thimphu 🥾 Moderate – Challenging 👥 1–8 Trekkers ✓ TCB Licensed
Overview

Why this is your journey

"On day three of the Druk Path Trek, you pass a lake so still it reflects the sky perfectly. There are no other trekkers. No signs. No noise except wind and the occasional bell of a yak somewhere below the ridge."

⛰️
Druk Path Trek
Connect Paro to Thimphu on foot through blue pine forests, over 4,100m passes, and past alpine lakes so clear they mirror the sky.
🏔️
Himalayan Views
On clear days (October–November best): Jhomolhari (7,314m), Gangkhar Puensum (7,570m), and Jichu Drake visible from the high camps.
🐟
Alpine Lakes
Jimilang Tsho and Simkotra Tsho — high-altitude lakes at 3,800m+ full of giant trout. No other trekkers. No sound except wind.
🦅
Bhutan Unreached
95% of Bhutan tourists never leave the valley road. This trek takes you into the Bhutan above — the one that belongs to yaks, eagles, and trekkers who earned their view.
🧭
TCB-Certified Trek Guide
All our trek guides are TCB-certified and have completed the Druk Path dozens of times. Safety briefings, weather monitoring, and altitude awareness built into every day.
🏕️
Fully Supported
Pack mules carry your main kit. Cooks prepare hot meals at camp. You carry only your daypack. This is wilderness trekking without the suffering.

Questions

Before you ask Santosh

Moderate to good fitness — equivalent to hiking 6–8 hours on hilly terrain. You don't need to be an athlete, but you should be comfortable with sustained uphill walking. We recommend training with day hikes for 4–6 weeks before the trip.
Yes, we arrange equipment hire in Thimphu. Tell us what you need when booking and we'll price it in. We recommend bringing your own boots that are already broken in.
Our trek guides are trained in altitude sickness recognition and first aid. If a trekker cannot continue, we arrange descent and vehicle support. Emergency evacuation insurance is mandatory for this trip.
