Overview

Why this is Bhutan journey

"Solo travel in Bhutan is different from solo travel anywhere else. Strangers offer you tea. Children wave at your vehicle. Monks ask where you're from and whether you've found what you were looking for."

๐Ÿ”„
Fully Flexible Itinerary
Your guide adapts the day around you โ€” every day. Want to spend three hours at one monastery? Change direction on day four? Add a sunrise hike? It happens.
๐Ÿงญ
Private Guide, Just For You
You have a TCB-certified guide entirely to yourself. No other travelers. No group schedule. No compromise on pace, timing, or what you want to linger over.
๐Ÿค
Authentic Local Connections
Solo travelers consistently report the deepest connections with local people. Your guide introduces you as a friend, not a tourist group. Doors open differently.
๐Ÿ”๏ธ
Tiger's Nest at Your Pace
No group waiting. No rushing because the bus leaves at noon. You hike Tiger's Nest at the speed your body and mind need โ€” and stay as long as you want at the top.
๐Ÿ“–
Space for Solitude + Reflection
Solo Bhutan is as much about the interior journey as the physical one. Built into this itinerary: free afternoons, unscheduled mornings, and permission to simply be somewhere.
๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ
Off-Script Moments
Some of the best moments in Bhutan happen when the plan changes โ€” a festival you didn't know about, a monastery the guide wants to show you, a family who invites you in for tea. Solo travelers get more of these.

Questions

Before you ask Santosh

Very. Bhutan is one of the safest countries in the world for solo travel. Crime is extremely rare. The country is small, the people are curious and kind, and you will always have your guide available. Solo female travelers report feeling completely safe.
Your guide is there when you want them and gives you space when you don't. Many solo travelers develop a genuine friendship with their guide by day three โ€” by day six, you're sharing stories you didn't expect to tell anyone on this trip.
No. We deliberately don't charge a single supplement. Solo travelers already pay more per person because they don't split costs with a travel partner. Penalising them further isn't something we do.
